FIELD GUIDE / PASSIVE SKILLS

How to pass down passive skills in Palworld

A practical way to organize parents when you are breeding for a specific passive skill combination.

Start with a donor Pal

Keep the parent that already has the passive skill you want. Use it as a donor while you work toward the final target, rather than trying to get every desired skill in one generation.

Build in stages

Breed useful skills onto a compatible intermediary, then combine that intermediary with a parent that can produce your target. This usually takes more than one egg and requires patience.

Expect variation

Passive skill inheritance is probabilistic. A pair can produce an egg without the exact combination you want, so plan for multiple attempts and keep promising offspring.

This calculator does not simulate passive skill probabilities. It shows parent combinations from the source breeding table. Treat passive skill planning as a separate layer and verify current mechanics in-game.
